Two Arrested For Transporting Allegedly Stolen Motorcycles

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Two individuals who were transporting two motorcycles hidden in a lorry were arrested at the Deduru Oya Police checkpoint in Puttalam.
According to the Police, the motorcycles were found hidden among coconuts and barrels during inspections carried out this morning.
Police suspect that these two motorcycles were brought from Jaffna.
The two individuals arrested are residents of Vavuniya and Paranthan.
Investigations are underway to determine if the motorcycles were stolen.
