COLOMBO (News 1st): A shooting has taken place at a residence in St. Anna, Ja-Ela.
According to Police Media Spokesperson, SSP Buddhika Manatunga, two individuals on a motorcycle fired approximately 40 rounds from a T-56 assault rifle at the residence early this morning, causing damage to the property and neighboring houses.
However, no injuries were reported.
The shooting was targeted at a house belonging to a relative of a suspected organized criminal named "Batuwatte Chamara".
A similar shooting incident was reported from the same residence on December 15.
Further investigations into the incident are currently underway.
