President Anura Kumara Dissanayake Meets Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi

COLOMBO (News 1st) - An official meeting between President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took place this afternoon.

Discussions were held in areas of key mutual intrest.

The PMD said that, The two leaders are expected to reach several agreements.

Earlier today, the official welcome ceremony for President Dissanayake was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, with the participation of Indian Prime Minister Modi, Indian President Droupadi Murmu, and other diplomats from both countries. 

The ceremony included 21-gun salute with full state honors, and President Dissanayake was welcomed with a traditional military salute.
