PUCSL Begins Study on Electricity Tariff Revisions

COLOMBO (News 1st):

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka says that studies related to electricity tariff revisions have now commenced.

The commission mentioned that it has received a report from the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation regarding the fuel prices for electricity generation, provided to the Ceylon Electricity Board.

Based on this report and other relevant factors, the commission confirmed that the study is underway.

The commission added that a detailed report on the study will be released to the public on the 17th of December.

Accordingly, the process of collecting public opinions will begin on the 17th, and the consultation period will last for 21 days.
