Special Program to Repair Roads Damaged by Adverse Weather

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Road Development Authority (RDA) has announced a special program to repair roads and bridges damaged as a result of the Adverse weather conditions.
RDA Director General S. M. P. Suriyabandara says the roads in the Northern, North Central, and Eastern Provinces have been severely affected by recent floods.
He adds that a bridge in Batticaloa had also collapsed as a result of this.
The Director General assured that an alternative bridge will be constructed as soon as possible.
Additionally, roads in the Uva and Central Provinces have been affected by landslides.
Efforts are also underway to clear these roadblocks.
