New Ministry Secretaries Appointed

COLOMBO (News 1st) - New secretaries have been appointed to 16 key ministries, including the office of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet.

The appointments were formally announced today, with the relevant documents handed over by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake.

W.M.D.J. Fernando: Secretary to the Cabinet

Snr. Prof. Kapila C.K. Perera: Secretary to the Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation

Mahinda Siriwardana: Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development

Thilaka Jayasundara: Secretary to the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development

A.M.P.M.B. Atapattu: Secretary to the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs

Prabath Chandrakeerthi: Secretary to the Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment

Sampath Thuyacontha: Secretary to the Ministry of Defence

Ravi Seneviratne: Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs

Ranjith Ariyaratne: Secretary to the Ministry of Urban Development, Construction and Housing

Prof. Udayanga Hemapala: Secretary to the Ministry of Power and Energy
