Strict Regulations in Place for GCE A/L Examination

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Examinations has prohibited invigilators, from bringing mobile phones into GCE A/L examination halls. 

Only the chief invigilator and additional chief invigilator at the examination center are permitted to carry mobile phones.

This measure has been implemented to issues that have arisen in the past.

Additionally, all Lectures, tuition classes, workshops, and seminars for the GCE A/L examination will be banned from midnight on November 19th.

Department of Examinations warns that legal action will be taken against those who fail to comply with the instructions.

Supervision activities have been strengthened for the examination, involving officers from the Examination Department, provincial, and zonal offices.

Each invigilator is tasked with covering 20 examination centers within 15 days.

This year’s A/L examination will be held from 25th November to 20th December.
