COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Police said that they will review and take necessary actions regarding the reduction of security for former presidents.
In response to an inquiry from News1st, Police Spokesperson DIG Nihal Thalduwa stated that the decision was made after considering requests related to this matter.
The police further clarified that the notifications regarding the reduction of security were based on the recommendations of a committee appointed by the Ministry of Public Security.
DIG Nihal Thalduwa emphasized that if there are protests or further requests concerning the reduction of security for former presidents, these will also be taken into account, and the relevant committee will make a decision accordingly.
