Railway Union Threatens Strike Action

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Railway Station Masters Union said that they will begin strike action tomorrow if a resolution is not reached today. 

The union's chairman, Sumedha Somaratne, stated that the discussions held yesterday concluded without a satisfactory solution.

This potential strike follows an emergency strike on the 30th of last month, which was prompted by issues related to promotions and recruitment.
