Rs. 500,000 Worth of Stamps for MPs Suspended

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Posts has announced the cancellation of all stamps issued for parliamentarians.
Former parliamentarians have been notified to promptly return any remaining stamps to the Parliamentary Post Office.
Annually, 10,000 stamps are issued for each parliamentarian, costing Rs. 500,000.
The Department of Posts stated that these stamps will remain invalid until the new parliament is appointed.
