Suspension of Statutory Board Meetings

COLOMBO (News 1st): The government has announced the suspension of meetings for statutory boards and other state institutions. 

Prime Minister's Secretary Pradeep Saputhanthri said that the heads of these institutions should not make any administrative decisions during this time.

Some boards have already appointed new chairpersons.

The Secretary also added that suitable heads will be appointed for the remaining boards by the relevant ministers in the future.
