Worm Infestation Threatens Nochchiyagama Maize Crop

COLOMBO (News 1st); Farmers in Nochchiyagama are raising concerns over a mysterious worm infestation ravaging their maize crop, causing significant damage across over 400 acres of land. 

The unidentified worms, reported to be found within maize pods, pose a serious threat to the livelihoods of farmers in the Talgaswewa area.

Farmers are urging agricultural authorities to intervene swiftly and provide necessary expertise to diagnose the infestation and implement appropriate control measures.
