Traffic Alert: Major Road Closures for Final Presidential Rallies!

COLOMBO (News 1st); As the presidential election campaign reaches its final stages, Sri Lanka Police announced special traffic arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the final public rallies of the presidential candidates.

The following roads are expected to experience significant traffic disruptions due to the rallies:

1. Colombo District:

Grandpass: Roads around the Grandpass area will be heavily congested due to the final rally of Independent presidential candidate Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Maradana: Expect delays and diversions around Maradana as Samagi Jana Balawegaya's candidate, Sajith Premadasa, holds his final rally.

2. Western Province:

Nugegoda: The Ananda Samarakoon Open Air Theater in Nugegoda will be the site of the final rally for Anura Kumara Dissanayake of the National People's Power, leading to road closures in the vicinity.

Piliyandala: Roads in and around Piliyandala will be affected by the Final rally of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna's candidate, Namal Rajapaksa.

The public is advised to plan their travel routes accordingly and use alternative roads where possible.
