New E-Passport Launch Next Month

Colombo (News 1st): The Ministry of Public Security has announced that the issuance of the new e-passport will commence between the 15th and 20th of next month. 

Initially, the ministry will issue foreign passports without chip cards.

In related news, the Comptroller General of Immigration has traveled to Poland to finalize the approval process for the creation of the new foreign passport.
