COLOMBO (News 1st) - Virajini Tennakoon's novel "Camellia" has been honored with the 2024 Golden Book Award.
The prestigious Golden Book Awards, hosted by the Sri Lanka Book Publishers Association for the 18th consecutive year, took place last night at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall in Colombo.
Virajini Tennakoon also received a cash prize of Rs. 850,000.
Mahinda Prasad Masimbula's "Mai Mara Prasangaya", Eric Ilayapparachi's "Thiwanka Kathawa", Malith Thusitha Gunaratne's "Silver Trips", and Liyanage Amarakirthi's "Kalalikarayo" were finalists.
Each finalist was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 100,000.
