COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Election Commission has made progress in addressing complaints related to the 2024 presidential election.
To date, the Commission has resolved 1961 complaints and is actively working on 683 more.
In total, 2644 complaints have been filed with the Commission. The majority of these—2571 complaints—concern alleged violations of election laws.
Additionally, the police have reported receiving 236 complaints related to the presidential election. Among these, 64 involve claims of violent actions.
