Over 1200 Complaints Ahead Of Presidential Election

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Election Commission has reported a total of 1,229 complaints related to the ongoing presidential election as of yesterday. 

Among these, a significant 1,172 complaints pertain to violations of election laws.

In addition to these violations, the commission has received four complaints related to acts of violence. 

Manjula Gajanayake, Executive Director of the Institute for Democratic Reforms and Election Studies, has also noted several incidents of assault occurring during election rallies.
