Over 5 kg of Cannabis Found on Buses in Punewa

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police have arrested two suspects who were transporting cannabis to Colombo by bus. 

The arrests were made during an immediate roadblock in the Punewa area, where authorities seized 5 kg and 800 g of cannabis from two buses.

The suspects, aged 45 and 47, are residents of Katupotha and Jaffna. 

The Punewa police are continuing their investigations into the incident to uncover further details and connections related to this drug trafficking operation.
