COLOMBO (News1st); National People's Power Leader and presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake has raised serious concerns about the political state of the country.

He emphasized the importance of both the people and the rulers abiding by the law for a country to be recognized internationally.

Dissanayake questioned the current state of the nation, highlighting the rise in crime and the failure to follow the law.

He pointed out that even the President has been implicated by the court, a situation that has occurred with all previous presidents.

"Ranil Wickremesinghe was implicated by the court in a Fundamental Rights application. So, who in this world would recognize our country?" he asked.

He further criticized the credibility of the nation when its own president is implicated by the Supreme Court and when parliament is represented by individuals with criminal backgrounds.

"Who will even take notice of this country when the country's own president is implicated by the Supreme Court? If parliament is represented by criminals, who will recognize this country?" he questioned.
