Deadline for Postal Voting Applications Approaches

COLOMBO (News 1st); The window for accepting postal voting applications for the upcoming presidential election is set to close at midnight today. 

In a statement released earlier, the Election Commission has reminded public servants that they are to submit their applications through the heads of their respective institutions to the district election offices.

Initially slated to end on the 5th, the deadline was extended, providing additional time for voters to ensure their participation in the electoral process. 

Prospective postal voters are encouraged to visit the Election Commission's official website, where they can find comprehensive information regarding their registration status on the voter list.
