Parliament to convene from August 6th to 9th

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Parliament is scheduled to convene from the 6th to the 9th.

Today, a Private Members' Bill, namely a Bill to amend the Provincial Councils (PC) Elections Act is expected to be presented to the parliament.

Further, the Adjournment Debate on the failure of the levee barrier along the Nilwala River by the Opposition will be taken up.

In addition, the Committee On Public Enterprises and the Committee On Public Finance are expected to convene later in the day.
