Bonds Placed For Sarath Fonseka To Run For President

COLOMBO (News 1st); Bonds were placed for MP Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka, to contest the Presidential Election as an independent candidate.

Earlier in the day, Siripala Amarasinghe also placed bonds to contest the Presidential Election as an Independent Candidate.

A total of 16 candidates have deposited the required security money. Among them, 8 represent recognized political parties, while 8 are from other political parties or are independent candidates.

On the 15th, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, nominations will be accepted.
