COLOMBO (News1st); The Colombo District Court today extended nine enjoining orders issued to Sri Lanka Freedom Party representatives including former chairman Maithripala Sirisena, until 9th of October.
The order was issued when the case was called before Colombo Chief District Judge Sandun Withana.
The enjoining order was issued against former President Maithripala Sirisena, Sarathi Dushmantha Mithrapala, Faizar Mustapha and Sarath Ekanayake in April after considering three petitions filed by Senior Vice Chairman of the SLFP Mahinda Amaraweera, National Organizer Duminda Dissanayake and Treasurer Lasantha Alagiyawanna.
The enjoining order was issued preventing Mahinda Amaraweera, Lasantha Alagiyawanna and MP Duminda Dissanayake's removal from the SLFP membership and barring anyone else from serving in their positions.
The judge ordered the respondent to present the objections of the defense on the 9th of October.
