Government Issues Guidelines for Presidential Election Conduct; Postal Department Begins Document Distribution

The government has issued guidelines detailing the conduct expected from government institutions during this critical period.

The National Election Commission has underscored the importance of strict adherence to these regulations to ensure a fair and transparent electoral process.

Starting next month, the Election Commission plans to engage external stakeholders involved in the Presidential election.

This initiative aims to foster a better understanding of the roles and obligations of various entities in ensuring a smooth electoral procedure.

The Department of Posts has initiated the distribution of essential election documents required for the upcoming Presidential election.

According to Deputy Postmaster General Rajitha Ranasinghe, instructions have been promptly issued to officials, including provincial Deputy Postmaster Generals, to facilitate the timely and efficient delivery of these documents island wide.
