Six Remanded Over Club Wasantha Shooting

Colombo (News 1st): Six of the suspects who were arrested in connection with the shooting of Club Wasantha alias Surendra Wasantha Perera and several others were remanded until the 26th of July.

The order was issued when they were presented before the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court this morning.

A statement from the owner of the tattoo parlor, who is the chief suspect in the incident, is scheduled to be recorded in court this afternoon.

Wasantha Perera and Nayana Wasula Wijesuriya were killed in the attack carried out by by two armed men who broke into the opening of a new business establishment at the Athurugiriya junction on the 8th of July, while four others including Wasantha's wife and popular singer K. Sujeewa sustained injuries.
