2 Suspects Involved in Kolonna Shooting Arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st); Two suspects connected to shooting dead a man in Kolonna earlier this week, were arrested by the STF, along with the weapon used to commit the crime.

The Police special task force says the two suspects were apprehended in Thoragalaya, Middeniya.

During the operation, authorities seized 2 Flintlock pistols, 2 live bullets, 100g of Heroin, a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspects, and three mobile phones were seized from the possession of the suspects. 

The Police Special Task Force says it was also revealed that the two suspects apprehended are associates of

Rotumba

(රෝටුඹ) Amila who is allegedly a member of an organized crime gang, and is currently in France, operating a drug ring from there.

It is suspected that the victim of the shooting had allegedly assaulted the aunt of

Rotumba

(රෝටුඹ) Amila and the attack carried out was retaliation to it.
