COLOMBO (News 1st): A SriLankan Airlines flight to South Korea returned to Colombo's Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport after encountering a technical issue, roughly two hours into the trip.
According to the SriLankan Airlines's media division, UL-470 departed the Bandaranaike International Airport for Incheon Airport with 144 passengers and 15 crew members on board at 6:20 pm yesterday.
However, a technical problem forced the aircraft to return to Katunayake Airport at 8:10 pm.
The airline is currently working on rebooking the passengers on a different flight to South Korea.
