Suspect Arrested for Gang-Raping 16-year-old Schoolgirl

Colombo(News1st) : A suspect has been arrested for being part of a gang-rape of a 16-year-old schoolgirl in Ambulgama,Hanwella.

Police say that 5 young men have been found to be involved in this crime.

The incident occured yesterday (21) when the victim was returnng home after meeting her boyfriend.

As per her complaint to the Police, a group of five men who came on motorcycles had forcefully taken her to a crematorium, where they proceeded to rape her.

The victim is a resident of Kosgama.
