Sri Lanka Reports 157 New Dengue Cases in 24 Hours

COLOMBO (News 1st); In the past 24 hours, 157 dengue cases have been reported from across Sri Lanka.

The National Dengue Control Unit stated that 2,201 dengue cases have been reported in the country over the first 21 days of this month.

This marks a significant increase compared to the previous month.

In May, there were 2,647 reported cases of dengue.

So far this year, a total of 27,121 cases have been reported.

The highest number of cases has been recorded in the Western Province.

There have been 9 reported deaths due to dengue this year.
