Special Transport Services in line with Poson Festivities

Colombo (News 1st): The Sri Lanka Transport Board says 400 special buses will be in operation for the devotees travelling to Anuradhapura for the Poson Festival this year.

Chairman of SLTB, Lalith De Alwis said these buses will operate from Kandy, Kurunegala, Gampaha, and Colombo, to Anuradhapura.

The Sri Lanka Railway Department says that due to railway repairs from Mahawa to Anuradhapura, trains will only run up to Mahawa this year.

However, additional trains from Colombo to Mahawa will operate starting June 20th.
