Strikes launched by several government employees continue

COLOMBO (News 1st); Union actions launched by government surveyors, Road Development Authority engineers and university non-academic employees continue.

Today marks 45 days for the strike launched by the university non-academic staff based on several issues including salary disparity.

Meanwhile, Duminda Udugoda, President of the Government Surveyors' Association, said that due to the lack of solutions to their demands, the trade union action is still ongoing today for the 6th day.

The trade union action started by the Road Development Authority Engineers' Union based on several demands continues for the 10th day.

They have now withdrawn from the construction of rural roads and bridges.
