Water levels of several rivers receding, says Department of Irrigation

COLOMBO (News 1st); The department of Irrigation says that the water levels of several rivers are gradually decreasing.

The notice issued by the Department this morning says that water levels of the Kalu, Kuda and Gin rivers are decreasing.

The notice adds that the water levels of the Nilwala river has slightly increased near Panadugama.

Meanwhile the landslide early warning issued by the National Building Research Organization will be in effect until this evening.

The warning covers divisional secretariat divisions of the Kalutara, Colombo, Galle, Kegalle, Ratnapura and Matara districts.
