COLOMBO (News1st); The Colombo District Court extended the injunction order that prevents former President Maithripala Sirisena from functioning as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) until June 12th.
The complaint filed by former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga was called up once again on Wednesday (29) before Colombo District Judge Sandun Withana.
In her complaint the former President claims that former President Maithripala Sirisena has no legal right to act as the chairman of the party, as per the SLFP constitution.
Accordingly, the complaint was filed seeking an injunction order preventing Sirisena from serving in the relevant position.
