Special programme to prevent mobile phones in exam halls

COLOMBO (News1st); The Department of Examinations said a special programme will be implemented in future to prevent mobile phones from being taken into examination halls.

Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara said there has been a tendency for candidates to take mobile phones into the examination hall illegally.

A decision has been reached to increase inspections of students to control this situation, and it will be implemented at the upcoming state-level examinations.

The Commissioner General of Examinations said stern measures will be taken under the Public Examinations Act, against students who bring mobile phones into the examination halls.
