Organized Crime, Drug-Related Suspects Nabbed

COLOMBO (News 1st); Eight individuals involved in organized criminal activities have been apprehended as part of the ongoing Operation Yukthiya (Justice).

This operation aims to curb the influence of the underworld and maintain public safety.

Since the 19th of March, a total of 168 criminals with links to organized crime have been taken into custody under this operation.

In a parallel effort, Operation Yukthiya has also targeted drug-related offenses.

Within the 24-hour period ending at 12:30 AM today, 829 suspects involved in drug trafficking and related crimes were apprehended.
