NO Power Cuts For Maintenance During Festive Season

COLOMBO (News 1st); In light of the upcoming festival season, the Ministry of Power and Energy has decided on temporarily suspending power outages for maintenance activities.

Sulakshana Jayawardena, Secretary of the Ministry, emphasized the importance of uninterrupted electricity supply during this festive period.

Despite a decline in hydropower production, the continuous provision of electricity remains unchallenged.

To further enhance the festive experience, measures have been implemented to ensure that all filling stations have sufficient fuel stocks.

Sulakshana Jayawardhana also confirmed that the country's fuel reserves are ample.

In addition, both the Lanka Indian Oil Company and the Sinopec have been duly informed to facilitate the release of required fuel to the public without any hindrance.
