Galle Face Green Vendors Seek Justice

COLOMBO (News 1st); A group of vendors who previously operated at Galle Face Green have come forward to express their grievances.

Their plight began after they were cleared out of the area during the Independence Day celebrations on February 4th.

Unfortunately, since that time, they have not been permitted to resume their businesses.

"We harbor no objections to the development and maintenance of Galle Face Green. However, we find ourselves caught in an unjust situation. While some traders are allowed to continue their trade, others face restrictions. This disparity is particularly harsh during the ongoing economic crisis. We earnestly request the intervention of the President and the subject Minister, to ensure justice for both the affected traders and mobile cart vendors.," said one Vendor.
