COLOMBO (News 1st); The National Building Research Organization says that the Air Quality Index in some areas across Sri Lanka has significantly dropped.
The NBRO cites the the current dry spell experienced across the island as reasons for this.
The NBRO says that people residing in the Kurunegala, Badulla and Anuradhapura districts are among the affected.
Reports suggest that the AQI stands at 102 units in Kurunegala, 106 units in Badulla and 104 units in Anuradhapura.
The public is urged to exercise caution when going about their daily lives to minimize any potential risks.
