'Harak Kata' to be held until 26th April at Counter-Terror Detention Camp

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo High Court has issued an order for the detention of Nandun Chinthaka Wickramaratne, also known as Harak Kata until April 26.

Accordingly, Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne alias 'Harak Kata' will be held at the Detention Camp run by the Counter-Terrorism Bureau located at the old Tangalle Prison.

The order was given when the suspect was produced to Colombo High Court Judge Damith Thotawatte on Monday (11).

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department presented indictments containing 22 charges against the suspect.

Nadun Chinthaka, commonly referred to as Harak Kata, appeared in court today after spending 365 days under detention orders. 

The investigation is ongoing, particularly concerning an alleged escape attempt while the suspect was in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department.
