15 CEB employees interdicted

COLOMBO (News 1st); 15 employees of Ceylon Electricity Board have been interdicted.

They served as cashiers for the CEB.

The CEB said their services were suspended on charges of participating in a protest held on Thursday (18) after reporting sick.

The CEB said they have acted in a manner that inconvenienced consumers.

Convenor of the United Trade Union Front of the C.E.B Ranjan Jayalal said severe trade action will be launched against the move to interdict the group of employees.
