Colombo Cameras to Watch for Traffic Offenses

COLOMBO (News 1st); Starting January 22nd, the Colombo city's existing CCTV network will be repurposed to actively detect and record traffic violations. 

This move comes on the heels of a recent survey revealing a shocking statistic: in areas equipped with CCTV cameras, the number of observed traffic offenses is a staggering 300 times higher than those recorded by police patrols.
