IMF Staff to hold key discussions with Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st); A six-member delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will kick off a crucial discussions with key institutions and authorities about Sri Lanka's economic program.

State Finance Minister Shehan Semasinghe confirmed the delegation's visit, stating they will hold talks with various stakeholders, including the Central Bank, the Electricity Board, and the Ministry of Finance itself. 

Minister Semasinghe further revealed that the meetings will focus on "further strengthening the IMF-supported program for Sri Lanka."

The IMF mission is scheduled to conclude on January 19th.
