“75 Days to Celebrate UDHR75” - Capital Maharaja Group in countdown to 75 years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Colombo (News 1st) - The Capital Maharaja Group commenced an initiative to usher in the upcoming 75th anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, with a campaign titled “75 Days to Celebrate UDHR75”.

Each year, Human Rights Day is celebrated across the world on the 10th of December with events to mark the importance of human rights, which are indivisible and inalienable.

The Global United Nations theme for this year’s Human Rights Day is “Human Rights75 – Freedom Equality and Justice for All”.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is considered a landmark document in human history. 

This milestone document set out, for the first time, fundamental human rights to be universally protected.

Thirty articles underpin international human rights law and provide a common global standard for human rights.

The contents of the UDHR have been incorporated into a large number of international treaties and national constitutions.

The series of programmes being held by the Capital Maharaja Group to mark the 75th anniversary of the UDHR, as well as the significance of human rights, geared towards its upliftment and towards greater education in the field of human rights, will see its culmination with the main event being held on 10th December 2023 at Stein Studios.
