Colombo (News 1st) - President Joe Biden on Tuesday (26th) became the first U.S. president to join a picket line, when he joined autoworkers on strike against the largest vehicle manufacturers in America, demanding higher wages and better working conditions.

Biden joined the picket line in Michigan at one of many plants where workers are on strike against three auto giants - General Motors, Ford and Stellantis.

“I’ve marched a lot of UAW Picket lines when I was a senator, since 1973, but I’ll tell you what, this is the first time I’ve ever done it as the President,” Biden said.
