Rs.16 million worth hashish found in a parcel from Belgium

COLOMBO (News 1st); A stock of Hashish worth Rs.16,470,000 has been found in a parcel imported from Belgium.
It was found in a container at the Orugudawatta container terminal.
The parcel weighing 1kg and 98g was sent to an address in Wennappuwa, Chilaw.
Customs Spokesperson Seevali Arukgoda said investigations revealed the address was fake.
He said the stock of hashish was handed over to officers of the Police Narcotics Control Unit for further investigation.
