Two new varieties of Pomegranate introduced

Colombo (News 1st): Agriculture Minister Mahinda Amaraweera says that steps have been taken to introduce two new varieties of pomegranate.

The Minister said steps have been taken to introduce these pomegranate varieties, following research done by the officials of the Department of Agriculture, 

The minister also said that the new pomegranate varieties can be harvested for almost 30 years.
