Friday every week set aside for mosquito control with the rise of dengue cases

Colombo (News 1st): The National Dengue Control Unit says that it has been advised to set aside Friday every week for mosquito control.

Its director Dr. Naleen Ariyaratne stated that committees will be appointed at the school level and this mandate will be implemented.

The number of dengue cases that have been reported in the country during the year stands at 62,711.

The highest number of cases are reported from the Western Province.

That number is at 30,500.

During the relevant period, 38 deaths due to dengue have been reported.
