Expert Report on antibiotics to be submitted to DG Health Services

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Expert Committee appointed to investigate the reports of patients who experienced allergic reactions after they were administered antibiotics at hospitals, will hand over its final report to the Director General of Health Services next Friday.

Director of the Department of Allergy Immunology and Cell Biology of the University of Sri Jayawardenepura and member of the Expert Committee Dr. Chandima Jeevandara says the report is now at its final stage. The six-member committee is chaired by the Director of the Medical Research Institute in Borella.

The Expert Committee was appointed by Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella.
