All-party conference on reconciliation on Wednesday (26)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The all-party conference called by President Ranil Wickremesinghe to discuss national reconciliation is due to be held at the President's Office at 5pm on Wednesday (26).

The main opposition party, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, has reached a decision to attend the conference.

Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa said he would attend the discussion for the sake of the people, adding that he will not fall for political tactics.

Leader of the Tamil National Alliance R Sampanthan also announced that he will attend the all-party conference.

However, the Leader of the Tamil National People's Front Gajendra Kumar Ponnambalam said he will not attend the conference.

The Jathika Jana Balawegaya also reached a decision to boycott the conference, stating that the decision was reached against the President's failure to fulfill promises made so far regarding solving national issues.
