Colombo (News 1st) - Former President Donald Trump said on a social media post Tuesday (18th) that he fears he will be indicted and arrested for alleged attempts to overturn the results of the last U.S. presidential election.

“Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden’s DOJ, sent a letter (again, it was Sunday night!) stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation, and giving me a very short 4 days to report to the Grand Jury, which almost always means an Arrest and Indictment,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

Special Counsel Jack Smith is investigating attempts by Trump's supporters to overturn the result of the 2020 election, including storming the U.S. Capital on the day that then Vice President Mike Pence certified the result of the election as having been won by Joe Biden. Smith several weeks ago indicted Trump on charges of mishandling classified documents.
